Services provided by your WFD.

Fire Suppression

WFD provides fire suppression within the city whether it be a response to a residential, commercial, or vehicular fire among other fire related incidents. When not actively fighting fires, WFD will preform continued training to ensure proper readiness.

Emergency Medical Services.

All WFD personnel are crossed trained in different levels of EMS certification to ensure care is provided to those we serve. The majority of personnel are certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) which play a pivotal role being that across the nation medical emergencies comprise the majority of 911 responses.

Public Education.

A key part of WFD’s mission is providing public education which is crucial to promoting a safer community. WFD provides education to the local schools regarding emergency preparedness during fires and other emergencies as well as to the public by means of hosting different programs. Among which are CPR and fire extinguisher training.

Drone Ops

WFD also operates a DJI M30T Drone for a variety of emergency situations. Your WFD has a team of FAA certified drone operators who are able to deploy our drone in search and rescue, reconnaissance, and assisting local law enforcement agencies.
